Today, 2 years ago, Cambodia shows its love to the world

Phnom Penh: From 14 February 2020 to 14 February 2022, it has been only two years since Prime Minister Hun Sen, expressed his love, which surprised the world by allowing the US cruise ship "Westerdam" that docked at Sihanoukville Port, Sihanoukville Province.

The ship, carrying a total of more than 2,000 people, left Hong Kong, China, and was refused to dock by authorities in Taiwan, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Guam (US) and Thailand due to concerns that people among thousands may be infected with Covid-19.

14 February 2020 also coincides with the "Valentine's Day" Prime Minister not only allowed the Westerdam to dock, he also welcomed the presence of passengers accompanied by roses. Which is an expression of Cambodia's love for the world, even though Cambodia is a small but generous country.

Allowing the Westerdam to dock at that time shocked the world and admired Cambodia dare to accept what they do not dare, while the passengers who got off the ship expressed their emotions until some even shed tears. They appreciated the gesture of the Prime Minister as well as the whole Cambodian people with this deep emotion.

At the same time, former US President Donald Trump wrote on Twitter: "Thank you, beautiful Cambodia, for hosting the Westerdam cruise ship docked at your port. The United States will remember Cambodia's virtues. "
